Dazzle your family and friends with incredible pastries! Make them simple — just with fresh berries and chocolate shavings, or more sophisticated — with candied fruit and herbs, flavored cream, and caramelized nuts. This dessert has endless variations for shape, flavor, and decor combinations. At the end of the class, you will enjoy freshly made Pavlova pastries with a cup of hot coffee or tea or icy cold sparkling wine (BYO).
A meringue-based dessert topped with whipped cream and decorated with fresh fruits and berries — it is one of the lightest delights. This dessert was created in New Zealand and named after the Russian ballet dancer Anna Pavlova when she visited there in 1926 on her world tour. It is popular in Russia, New Zealand, and Australia. A meringue base for Pavlova is not dry throughout like commercially made meringues in the U.S. It should have a crisp and crunchy outer shell with soft and chewy marshmallow-like center.
